Peter Gregory, Chairman
Peter is an experienced, proven leader in the utility industry, having served as: CEO, CFO, BD, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, and Software Manufacturing at utility industry companies including General Electric, EnerNet Associates, and Real Enterprise Solutions. He holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Purdue University and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida, and served as an Officer in the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power program.Magaret Burd, Member
Margaret is a recognized leader in building and growing successful high-tech organizations. Prior to Green Energy Corp she founded two successful software engineering firms: Magpie Telecom Insiders and Magpie Healthcare. Margaret has over 15 years of experience in software development at Lucent Technologies and Bell Laboratories, as a developer, project manager, technical manager and director. She has a master's degree in computer science from the University of Kansas and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Southwest Missouri State University, and holds two patents.Sue Kunz, Member
Ms. Kunz’s experience spans numerous roles including CEO, Founder and Corporate Executive. As CEO of BioVantage Resources, Inc., Sue is responsible for corporate vision, strategy, execution and capitalization. BioVantage is Sue's fourth startup, three of which she led. Her most recent company, Solidware Technologies, Inc., was acquired in 2008.Prior to Solidware, Ms. Kunz’s corporate experience included Sun Microsystems where she was Director of Marketing & Business Development, Six Sigma Director and held various engineering and management positions. Before Sun, Kunz founded an independent consultancy selling digital imaging solutions in Germany. Also in Europe, Kunz held various international product/strategic marketing positions at IBM in computer integrated manufacturing. Ms. Kunz started her career at Precision Visuals, Inc. and as the only headquarters’ representative Kunz was instrumental in setting up their European offices in Germany.
Sue serves on Governor Hickenlooper’s and formerly on Governor Bill Ritter's Venture Capital Investment Advisory Committee and served on the Governor's Council for Innovation; she currently serveson multiple boards and advisory boards including Green Energy Corporation, Boulder Ionics, Impact on Education, Educate! and Summit Charter Middle School, and she is a mentor at The Unreasonable Institute and Techstars.
Prior Boards/Advisory Boards: Boulder Environmental Sciences and Technology (BEST), Silicon Flatirons, SolTerrah, SPARC International, Electrochance, Free World Foods, Be Three, and Linerate Systems. Kunz has two patents pending. She is a recipient of the Tribute to Women in Industry Award from the YWCA, Santa Clara and a recipient of the 2009 Colorado Entrepreneur with Impact Award. Kunz graduated cum laude with a BS in Computer Science from the University of Idaho.
Vivek Talvadkar, Member
Vivek V. Talvadkar has over 30 years experience in international finance, including the management of investment and advisory services departments and structuring of joint ventures, project loans and equity transactions.
Mr. Talvadkar's previous professional experience includes twenty-five years at the World Bank Group.His last position was as Director of Power Investments, International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank, where he managed a $2 billion investment portfolio, with investments in power generation & distribution, renewable energy and energy efficiency. Prior to that Mr. Talvadkar managed the privatization of government assets and fee-based consulting and advisory business in Latin America and Eastern Europe. He also was Special Assistant to the President of the World Bank.
Mr. Talvadkar also served as Senior Vice President, International Programs of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). In this capacity, Mr. Talvadkar was Managing Director of NRECA's two subsidiaries, NRECA International Limited and NRECA International Foundation. He was responsible for NRECA's overseas electrification activities including program development and fundraising. Mr. Talvadkar received his MBA from the Harvard Business School, his M.S. from Cornell University, and his B. Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai, India.
Mark Rose, Member
Since January 1, 2003, Mark Rose has served as the General Manager and CEO of Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative, one of Texas's oldest rural electric service utilities. Founded in 1939, Bluebonnet serves more than eighty thousand meters across fourteen counties between Austin and Houston with eleven thousand miles of distribution line.Under Rose's leadership, Bluebonnet has transformed into one of the nation's most progressive retail utilities and an early adopter of state-of-the-art technological advancements.
Robert A. Hildebrand, Board Member and Senior Adviser to the President:
Robert A. Hildebrand has been an officer or director of a number of public companies over his distinguished career as a Mining Engineer. Mr. Hildebrand is, or was, within the past recent years, an officer and/or director of the following public companies: Anooraq Resources, General Mining Company, Resource Finance Group Ltd., International Methane Company and Polaris Resources, Inc. For the last 15 years Mr. Hildebrand was the Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Pinnacle Resources, Inc., a diversified natural resource company that has operated mainly in Africa.From 1980 to 1991 he acted as the Consul (Hon.) of the Netherlands in Colorado. In 1991 Her Majesty Queen Beatrix appointed Mr. Hildebrand a Knight in the Order of Oranje Nassau. Mr. Hildebrand is a registered professional engineer and holds a geological engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines and a completion certificate from LaSalle University in Business Administration.
